What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a 228-year-old (founded by a German doctor, Samuel Hahnemann, in 1796), evidence- based, holistic type of medicine, that aims to heal both body, mind, and spirit in the gentlest possible way. Unlike the conventional types of medicine, which view each body part as a separate entity, homeopathy recognises that human body is a system, in which all of its constituent parts continuously interact to form a holistic whole.

Homeopathy views disease as a derangement of the vital force (life force energy, qi, prana etc.), that is either temporary, as in acute cases, or chronic. It recognises that what mainstream medicine calls arthritis, for example, can exhibit itself in as many ways as there are people in this world, hence the cure can not possibly be a one-size-fits-all type of a medicine, but needs to operate according to the “law of the similars”- i.e. it needs to match the symptom picture as closely as possible, as uniquely expressed by each patient.

Allopathic medicines, such as Paracetamol/Tylenol (analgesic and antipyretic) can effectively suppress the symptoms, but they do not offer lasting cure. Instead, they can drive the state of dis-ease deeper into the system and manifest as a more serious type of illness. For example, fever is a very useful mechanism, during which your body has raised its temperature, making incredible demands on its metabolism, in its effort to eliminate the source of pathology, yet, by administering antipyretics, we apply breaks to this innate method of healing, almost like beating up our body for attempting to heal itself. Your vital force is wise. Its no1 priority, at all times, is to keep you alive. When something is out of balance, it will always choose the least damaging way to signal its distress to you first. For example, it might choose to show you that something is wrong by means of a skin rash. By applying corticosteroid creams, you are simply silencing your bodys way of trying to communicate with you, and forcing the life energy to find another way (perhaps more serious or damaging) to tell you, that you need to pay attention to something.

About me

I was born on an absolutely jaw-droppingly beautiful and tranquil island of Saaremaa. Aged 18 I moved to Stockholm to study Swedish and Business Administration, followed by a short stint in Cyprus, where I worked in the tourist industry. Then came 10 years in IT in Amsterdam, and 2 healthy, home-born boys. I commenced my studies in Psychology and moved to West Yorkshire, where I worked in the Forensic Mental Health, while continuing with my MSc in Psych. I also taught Psychology in a private school, and then set up my own sustainable packaging company, geared towards after sales service markets of digital goods.

I have always been a deep thinker and I am naturally drawn towards research. I am especially interested in mental wellbeing. All our dis-eased states begin in our mental/emotional sphere. We can also be burdened by our ancestral themes and miasmatic inheritance. Homeopathy demands that I dig deep into the essence of every being. It asks me to be a detective, who meticulously analyses the evidence, to find what remedy resonates with your current dominant vibration of dis-ease, so that when the perfect match is found, it will give your vital force an appropriate nudge, that helps it find its way back to your perfect harmony.

I believe we are all like musical instruments, which require occasional tuning. My job is to find out what song is yours. I happen to be somewhat of a polyglot, speaking 7 languages. I currently offer consultations in English, Estonian and Dutch, predominately via online video calls from my Scottish church directly to your home.
